Hello, I would like to seek advice on resolving a tenancy situation. I am in the last month of my tenancy in Bratislava and I have already submitted a notice stating that I will be vacating the apartment on 31st July, 2022. My landlord currently holds a deposit of 2000 Euros. However, I have come to realize that the landlord may not be honest and could potentially try various means to retain this money. As is customary, I will remove all my belongings and clean the apartment before I move out. Nonetheless, there are a few areas where I require assistance, and I may possibly need some legal help to enforce these: 1. Ensuring that the landlord returns the entire deposit within a suitable timeframe. 2. Guaranteeing that the charges for electricity and water are calculated honestly and accurately. For the entire year, 200 Euros of my monthly total payment was allocated for utilities. However, I never received a detailed breakdown of electricity consumption and the monthly payments that were made to the electricity company. I believe the landlord is deliberately obscuring this information to request additional funds by claiming an overuse of utilities.
